Gens v2.14
This is the most basic emulator for the SEGA Genesis. This download comes with the Kaillera client needed to play Genesis games online. Refer to our Kaillera FAQs page if you need help with that. Gens v2.14 does not support input movie recording

Gens Plus!
This version of Gens supports input movie recording in the form of .giz files. You will need this program in order to do Sonic Cage Dome's challenges, be it Achievement or Emerald challenges. Netplay is supported, however it's recommended that Gens v2.14 be used for netplay and not Gens+. Please read the HOW TO thread for recording challenge entries for SCD for more information on how to record entries.

Gens Re-Recording
This version of gens supports input movie recording and savestate use in the .gmv format, as well as rerecording, slowdown, and AVI dumping. We do not accept .gmv's as a form of challenge entry submission, due to its slowdown/rerecording features. However, you may use it to practice and test things. Gens Re-recording does not support netplay.
