Hello there, and thank you so much for taking an interest in visiting this page. This page's purpose is to inform visitors like yourself about the ideas that founded this website.
Why did we make Sonic Cage Dome?
We made Sonic Cage Dome because we love to play Sonic games. Sonic Cage Dome is all about the games and our goal is (as fans) to take our favorite, classic SEGA and Sonic games to the next level! That is, to play the games online with friends for fun, or through competitive events that we organize on this very website. Sure, you could say that there's nothing more fun (as a Sonic fan) than to race through a level in a Sonic game, but doing so through online play will only intensify the awesome gaming experience.
But it's not all about the games. Sure, we love games, but we also wanted a social network where we could just kick back and take it easy. That's our attitude here at Sonic Cage Dome. Although, we are still proud of our website, we realize that this is just a world of fans, and it's nothing to take too seriously, just a fun hobby.
Which games can Sonic Cage Dome play online?
We can play all of the SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive) classics through an online games client called 'Kaillera'. Through this client players are able to converse and play with one another on the Sonic Cage Dome game server. We can also play the PC version of 'Sonic R' through the game's built in LAN feature and third party software, Hamachi. Besides the classics, we can play the game 'Sonic Rush Adventure' through the Nintendo DS's online gaming service. Now, let's just hope SEGA's going to be able to finally pull off a masterpiece of a Sonic game which would include online multiplayer features. Due to our very limited array of SEGA games that we are able to play online, we sometimes, occasionally play other third party games on other gaming networks such as Xbox LIVE, the PlayStation Network, and Nintendo's online service.
Since SEGA may not always do the job when it comes to satisfying us hungry gamers, we at Sonic Cage Dome have an amateur games development studio entitled "Sonic Technical Institute". Its goal is to produce a Sonic game on PC with online gaming capabilities. Cross your fingers.
