Time Attacks | Events 2,3 and 7
A Time Attack live event is an event where several players compete to achieve the best time in a certain level or zone. All the players will compete under set rules, and under surveillance of a moderator. The player that achieve the best time within the level/zone wins the event. The remaining players will have their place decided according to their time as well.

Ring Attacks | Event 1
A Ring Attack live event is similar to the Time Attack event, but this time with rings, and no time. The players will also compete under set rules, and also under another moderator's surveillance. The player with most rings wins the event, followed by the other players, according to the number of rings they caught throughout the level. If the level is constituted by 2 or 3 Acts, the number of rings will be summed and the total shall be the final number of rings.

1v1 Competition Mode | Events 4,5,6 and 9
This is an event where every player shall test their skills online, and throught the lag. The players shall face each other in a certain game and level, and the player with the best time (in case of Sonic 3 & Knuckles) or the best statistics of gameplay (in case of Sonic the Hedgehog 2) wins the match and goes to the next round. The remaining player is the winner of the event.

Marathon | Event 10
This event is based on the player's skills offline. It shall be a recorded event, also under set rules. The players shall be given a task, which is a mystery until the event's time. Then, they'll record their videos and send them via e-mail to sonicolympics@soniccagedome.com. The players must also use Gens+ to record their videos. The winning player is the one with the best performance on his/her video.
